The VinFast VF MPV 7 is a seven-seat electric MPV aimed at families who want maximum space without drinking petrol like a thirsty SUV. It gets a 60.13 kWh battery, a claimed 517 km ARAI range and a 2,840 mm wheelbase. With three rows, sliding second-row seats and dedicated AC vents for the third row, it is designed more around family comfort than driving excitement.
The front-mounted electric motor makes 204 PS and 280 Nm, which is enough for a 0-100 km/h time of under nine seconds. DC charging from 10 to 70 percent takes around 30 minutes, while the 126-litre boot with all seven seats in use is its biggest practicality compromise. The 185 mm ground clearance is reasonable for Indian roads, but the VF MPV 7's real advantage is its spacious, flexible cabin.
Who should buy it? A large family that wants a spacious seven-seat EV with low running costs and decent highway range.
What will bug you? Boot space is limited with all three rows up, the charging network still needs planning and VinFast's relatively new presence in India may make long-term ownership a question mark.

No 6 airbags on all variants is a safety miss.
The cabin feels a bit basic for a ₹24.49 lakh car.
The 7-year vehicle warranty and 10-year battery warranty are unmatched.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly.
Fast charging from 10-70% in 30 minutes is very convenient.
