The Hyryder is Toyota's mid-size SUV for buyers who want the Grand Vitara experience with a Toyota badge and a slightly different grille — the one that proves badge-engineering works when you throw in a Toyota warranty and call it a day. Developed in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki, it's the SUV for buyers who want hybrid efficiency without the Maruti badge anxiety. Priced from ₹10.99 lakh to ₹20.19 lakh (ex-showroom) , on-road figures start around ₹13.86 lakh for the base E and stretch past ₹26 lakh for the top-spec V Hybrid Aero Black Edition. It's roughly ₹50,000-80,000 more than the Grand Vitara — because apparently the Toyota badge and the peace of mind are worth that much.
Who should buy it? Fuel-efficiency fanatics who want an SUV that sips fuel like a hybrid hatchback. Toyota loyalists who want a mid-size SUV without the Fortuner's price tag. Anyone who thinks the Grand Vitara is too common and the Creta is too thirsty.

The running cost is lower than a petrol hatchback, which is incredible for an SUV.
The car's design is modern and appealing. The LED DRLs look very sharp.
The fuel savings on this car are so significant that they offset the higher initial cost.
The Hybrid S variant is the most affordable way to experience Toyota's strong hybrid.
The boot space is a trade-off for the hybrid battery, but it's manageable for daily use.
