The Taisor is Toyota's badge-engineered sub-4m SUV for buyers who want the Maruti Fronx experience with a Toyota badge and six airbags as standard — the one that proves badge-engineering works when you throw in a few extra features and call it a day. Priced from ₹7.43 lakh to ₹12.94 lakh (ex-showroom) , with on-road figures starting around ₹8.36 lakh for the base E MT and stretching past ₹14.99 lakh for the top-spec V Turbo AT. It's roughly ₹50,000-80,000 more than the Fronx — because apparently the Toyota badge and the peace of mind are worth that much.
Who should buy it? Buyers who want the Fronx but don't want to be seen in a Maruti. First-time SUV buyers who prioritise brand value and safety over features. Anyone who thinks the Sonet is too expensive and the Nexon is too... Tata.
What will bug you? The hard plastics everywhere — durable, functional, but not premium. The missing features at this price are inexcusable — no powered sunroof, no ventilated seats, no leatherette upholstery, no rear centre armrest, no ADAS.
