The Fortuner is Toyota's full-size SUV for buyers who want the road presence of a tank and the resale value of gold — the one that's been dominating Indian highways for nearly two decades and still commands a waiting list. Priced from ₹34.76 lakh (ex-showroom) , on-road figures start around ₹44.56 lakh for the base 4x2 AT and stretch past ₹64 lakh for the top-spec GR S 4x4 Diesel AT. Who should buy it? Buyers who want a rugged, no-nonsense 7-seater that'll outlast their children's college education. Off-road enthusiasts who actually use the 4x4 hardware. Anyone who thinks the Kodiaq is too soft and the Scorpio N is too... Mahindra. Fleet operators who do the math on total cost of ownership. What will bug you? The cabin feels a generation behind rivals — hard plastics, dated design, and no sunroof or ADAS in 2026 is inexcusable. The suspension tosses you over broken roads — second-row passengers with back problems will hate you. The third row is cramped for adults.

Built like a tank. Complete confidence on rough roads.
