The Cullinan is Rolls-Royce's first SUV — the one that proved even the ultra-wealthy aren't immune to the global obsession with high-riding vehicles. Priced from ₹10.50 crore ex-showroom, on-road figures start around ₹12 crore and can stretch past ₹14 crore for the Black Badge. That's roughly double the Bentley Bentayga's asking price — and you're paying for the privilege of owning the only SUV that comes with a V12 as standard. Who should buy it? Industrialists who've exhausted the Maybach checklist. Celebrities who need to remind everyone they're still relevant. Anyone who's ever said "money is no object" and meant every word. What will bug you? The price — you could buy a Bentayga and a fully-loaded GLS for the same money. The size — at 5.3 metres long, parking this in a metro city requires either valet service or advanced geometry skills. The fuel bills will make your accountant weep. And the Black Badge premium of ₹1.6 crore buys you mostly black trim and a slightly angrier face. The Cullinan is brilliant, excessive, and completely irrational — which is exactly the point.

The Black Badge Cullinan is audacious, luxurious, and an overload of opulence. It's also a surprisingly capable off-roader, though who uses it for that?

The price is astronomical. ₹12 crore+ before options is a serious commitment. But for the experience, it's in a league of its own. You have to be a certain kind of buyer.

The attention to detail is insane. Doors close with a silent soft-close thud. The umbrella is just the start – everything is crafted to perfection.

The rear seat is a lounge. Heated, cooled, massaging seats with champagne flutes and a fridge. My family travels in a cocoon.

The V12 is so refined you can barely hear it. It just glides forward with an urgency that defies its 2.7-tonne weight. The engineering is incredible.
