It competes with the BMW X5 (₹96.9 lakh - ₹1.12 Cr), Mercedes-Benz GLE (₹1.00 - ₹1.17 Cr), and Audi Q7. The Jag F-Pace undercuts it significantly at ₹72.9 lakh, but the Velar's cabin — minimalist, leather-draped, and mercifully quiet — feels a cut above. Just don't try fitting three adults in the back; the sloping roofline and central tunnel make that an exercise in creative seating.
Who should buy it? Design-conscious buyers who want the Range Rover experience without the SV-sized dent in their bank account. Anyone who finds the Evoque too basic and the Sport too expensive.
