The Porsche 911 is one of the few sports cars that can genuinely work as a daily driver without losing its performance credentials. Its iconic shape has evolved over decades, but the basic formula remains the same, a rear-mounted flat-six, excellent balance and sharp driving dynamics. The cabin is premium and comfortable enough for regular use, although the rear seats are better treated as extra luggage space for adults.
The turbocharged flat-six engines deliver strong performance, while the PDK automatic gearbox is exceptionally quick and smooth. The 911 feels planted at high speeds but is still manageable in city traffic. Ground clearance is the bigger concern in India, especially with steep ramps and aggressive speed breakers. The boot and front luggage area offer some practicality, but this is still a sports car first.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants serious performance but still wants a car they can realistically drive every day.
What will bug you? The high price, expensive maintenance, low ground clearance and limited rear-seat usefulness can hurt practicality.
