Expert Review

4.26/5
The Nissan Magnite is one of the better value-for-money compact SUVs for buyers who want a stylish car without stretching the budget too much. Its compact size makes it easy to drive in the city, while the high seating position and decent ground clearance work well on Indian roads. The cabin is simple but practical, with enough features to keep everyday driving interesting. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol is adequate for city use, while the turbo-petrol is the better choice if you regularly drive on highways. Manual and automatic options make it easy to pick according to your needs. Ride quality is fairly comfortable, although the cabin can get noisy when you push the engine hard. Rear-seat space is decent for the segment, but three adults will feel a little cramped on longer trips. Who should buy it? Someone who wants a practical, affordable compact SUV with good features and manageable running costs. What will bug you? Engine refinement, highway noise, modest rear width and the basic feel of some cabin materials.
