The MG Windsor is a slightly different take on the family EV, combining crossover proportions with a spacious, almost MPV-like cabin. Its biggest strengths are comfort, interior space and the relaxed driving experience. The cabin feels modern, with a large touchscreen and plenty of technology, while the rear seats offer generous legroom for passengers.
The electric motor delivers instant torque and is more than adequate for city driving and highway cruising. The ride is comfortable, making the Windsor a good option for daily commuting and family trips. Its battery and charging setup work well for regular use, but long highway journeys still need some planning around charging stations. The low-ish body also means you need to be careful around badly designed speed breakers.
Who should buy it? A family looking for a comfortable, spacious EV primarily for city driving and regular highway trips.
What will bug you? Charging infrastructure, highway range at higher speeds, limited excitement behind the wheel and the unusual crossover-MPV design may not suit everyone.
