The MG Hector Plus is the bigger, more family-focused version of the Hector, offering three rows and a more premium cabin. It gets the same strong road presence, large touchscreen and long list of features, but adds the flexibility of carrying more passengers. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, making it a good choice for families who regularly travel together.
The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with CVT is smooth and easy to drive in traffic, while the 2.0-litre diesel is the better choice for frequent highway use. Ride quality is comfortable, although the large body can feel cumbersome in crowded areas. The first two rows have plenty of space, while the third row is best suited to children or shorter adults. With all three rows in use, boot space becomes limited.
Who should buy it? A family that wants a spacious, feature-loaded SUV with flexible seating for occasional third-row use.
What will bug you? Average fuel economy, large dimensions, limited third-row boot space and the lack of an exciting driving experience.

The car is very stable on the highway. No floatiness, even at high speeds.
The interior is spacious and well-designed. Everything is within easy reach.
The 7-seater layout is practical for big families. The captain seats in the middle row are a game-changer.
The diesel engine is quite loud. You can hear it inside the cabin, especially when you accelerate.
The ride is plush and comfortable. Perfect for long drives with the family.
