The Mercedes-AMG S-Class is the performance version of Mercedes' flagship sedan, combining limousine-level luxury with serious speed. It keeps the elegant and spacious cabin of the S-Class but adds AMG engineering underneath. The result is a car that can carry you comfortably in the rear seat while also having enough performance to make most sports cars nervous.
The AMG S 63 uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor, producing massive power and instant torque. The all-wheel-drive system provides strong traction, while the automatic gearbox delivers quick and smooth shifts. Despite its performance, the suspension can remain surprisingly comfortable in normal driving. The biggest challenge is its size, low stance and weight, especially on tight Indian roads and poorly designed speed breakers.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants flagship Mercedes luxury but also wants genuinely explosive performance when they take the wheel.
What will bug you? The enormous price, expensive maintenance, fuel consumption, heavy weight and low ground clearance are difficult to justify unless money is not a concern.
