Mercedes-Benz GLS User Reviews
19 reviewsThe GLS 400d is a brilliant highway cruiser. The diesel engine is a torque monster, and the 9G-Tronic gearbox is smooth and responsive. The cabin is quiet and refined, and the seats are incredibly comfortable for long journeys. The third row is spacious enough for adults, which is rare in a luxury SUV. The car is expensive to buy and maintain, but the driving experience is unparalleled.
The GLS is the most luxurious SUV I've ever owned. The interior is a work of art, with high-quality materials and impeccable fit and finish. The ride quality is superb, and the car feels incredibly planted on the highway. The 4MATIC system provides excellent grip in all conditions. The car is huge, and parking in tight spots is a challenge, but the 360-degree camera makes it manageable. It's a car that makes you feel special every time you get in.
I've been driving the GLS 450 for over a year, and it's been flawless. The 3.0L petrol with 367 bhp is smooth and powerful, and the 48V mild-hybrid system makes the start-stop seamless. The 7-seat configuration is perfect for my family, and the third row is genuinely usable for adults. The Burmester sound system is phenomenal, and the digital headlights are a marvel. The only downside is the fuel consumption, which is a bit painful.
The steering is light at parking speeds but feels a bit numb on the highway.
The MBUX system is impressive but complex. There's a steep learning curve.
