The Mercedes-Benz EQS is the electric flagship sedan from Mercedes-Benz, built for buyers who want luxury without the noise of a petrol or diesel engine. It has a massive road presence, an beautifully finished cabin and one of the quietest driving experiences you can get. The large MBUX display setup also makes the dashboard feel more like a high-end tech product than a normal car.
The electric powertrain delivers instant acceleration and effortless cruising, while the air suspension keeps the ride extremely comfortable. Rear-seat space is generous, making it a proper executive car. The EQS is also capable of long highway runs, but charging still needs some planning, especially outside major cities. Its long body and low stance can also make tight parking areas and sharp speed breakers stressful.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants flagship Mercedes luxury, serious comfort and an electric powertrain without buying an SUV.
What will bug you? The huge size, low ground clearance, expensive ownership and dependence on charging infrastructure can be frustrating.

The EQS is a good car, but it's not as special as the S-Class. The S-Class is still the gold standard for luxury sedans. The EQS feels a bit too focused on technology, and it can feel cold and clinical. The design is polarizing, and the lack of road presence is a letdown. The rear seat comfort is not as good as the S-Class. But the range and the technology are impressive.

The EQS is a masterpiece of engineering and luxury. The cabin is a sanctuary, the silence is phenomenal, and the Burmester sound system is the best I've ever heard. The real-world range is impressive, and the energy consumption is surprisingly good. The Hyperscreen is the most impressive piece of automotive tech I've ever seen. It's the best electric sedan I've ever driven.

The EQS is a car for people who want the best technology has to offer. The Hyperscreen is the star of the show, and the ambient lighting is mesmerizing. The range is impressive, and the Airmatic suspension is magic. But the car lacks the sense of occasion of the S-Class, and the price is eye-watering. It's a great car, but it's not for everyone.

The EQS is a great car, but it's not perfect. The rear seat under-thigh support is poor, and the backrest is a bit too upright for long-distance comfort. The lack of physical buttons for climate control is frustrating, and the steering is a bit too light and numb. The design is polarizing, and it lacks the road presence of the S-Class. But the technology and the range are impressive.
