The McLaren GT is the more practical side of McLaren's supercar family. It combines the low, dramatic shape and lightweight engineering of a McLaren with a cabin and luggage space designed for longer journeys. It is still unmistakably exotic, but it is less intimidating to use every day than a hardcore track-focused McLaren.
The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces around 620 PS and sends power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Acceleration is brutally quick, while the lightweight construction makes the GT feel sharp and responsive through corners. The suspension is relatively compliant for a supercar, and the rear luggage area gives it genuine touring ability.
Who should buy it? Enthusiasts who want supercar performance but also care about comfort, luggage space and longer highway drives.
What will bug you? Ground clearance is a serious issue on Indian roads, visibility is limited, tyres and brakes are expensive, and specialist service support is essential.

0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds is blistering. But the real magic is how effortlessly it delivers that speed.
It's surprisingly practical for a supercar. The front trunk holds a soft board bag, and the rear hatch swallows all my gear.
The attention this car gets is incredible. Even on overcast days, the paintwork sparkles and turns heads everywhere.
The ride quality is exceptional for a mid-engine supercar. It's comfortable enough for long highway drives without breaking your back.
The total luggage space of 570 litres is a game-changer. I fit a full set of golf clubs and weekend bags with zero compromise.
