The McLaren 750S is a lightweight supercar built with one clear priority, going ridiculously fast. It is an evolution of the 720S, with more power, less weight and sharper chassis tuning. The design is dramatic, but the real attraction is the engineering underneath, especially the extensive use of carbon fibre.
The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces around 750 PS and sends power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in roughly 2.8 seconds, and the lightweight construction makes it extremely agile through corners. The hydraulic suspension also gives it a surprisingly good balance between track ability and road comfort.
Who should buy it? Serious driving enthusiasts who want a lightweight, brutally fast supercar with exceptional handling.
What will bug you? Ground clearance is a nightmare on Indian roads, visibility is limited, luggage space is minimal and tyres, brakes and servicing can become painfully expensive.
