The Maserati GT2 is not a road-going luxury car with a racing attitude. It is a proper track-focused race car built for GT2 competition. Based on the MC20, it uses Maserati's 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 and strips away the comfort-focused parts to concentrate on speed, aerodynamics and lap times. The result is much closer to a racing machine than something you casually drive to the office. The engine produces around 630 hp, while the lightweight construction, aggressive aero package and racing suspension are designed to deliver serious cornering performance. There is no concern about Indian speed breakers here because this car belongs on a circuit. The cabin is also stripped down compared with the road-going MC20, with racing equipment taking priority over luxury. Who should buy it? Track-day enthusiasts, professional teams and collectors who understand that this is a competition car, not a weekend grocery runner. What will bug you? Practically everything that makes a normal car comfortable, including road legality, everyday usability, cabin comfort and running costs.

The GT2 Stradale is a brilliant car, but it's hard to justify the price. At $340,000, it competes with the best from Ferrari, Porsche, and McLaren. And while the Maserati has the looks and the sound, it lacks the pedigree and the tech of its rivals. The cabin is basic, the infotainment is average, and the ride is punishing. If you're a die-hard Maserati fan, you'll love it. If you're looking for the best supercar money can buy, there are better options.

The GT2 Stradale is Maserati at its best – raw, emotional, and utterly Italian. The V6 howl at 7,500 rpm sends shivers down your spine, the carbon-fibre construction keeps it light, and the 0-100 km/h time of 2.8 seconds is genuinely startling. It's not as sophisticated as a 296 GTB, but it has a character and drama that's uniquely Maserati. If you want a car that makes you feel alive every time you drive it, this is it.

The GT2 Stradale is the most focused road car Maserati has ever built. The Nettuno V6 produces 730 Nm of torque, the 8-speed DCT is quick and decisive, and the carbon-fibre chassis is incredibly stiff. On track, it's a weapon – the aero works, the brakes are phenomenal, and the rear-wheel-drive balance is perfect. But on the road, you have to be in the right mood. This is not a car for everyone, but for those who understand it, it's unforgettable.
