The Maserati GranTurismo is a proper Italian grand tourer built for people who want performance, luxury and long-distance comfort in the same package. It looks dramatic without being overly aggressive, while the beautifully finished cabin gives it the kind of occasion that a regular luxury sedan simply cannot provide. The four-seat layout also makes it more practical than most sports cars.
The 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 delivers strong performance, while the all-wheel-drive system helps put the power down confidently. It is quick, refined and surprisingly comfortable on highways, making it better suited to long journeys than its exotic appearance suggests. The electric GranTurismo Folgore adds even more performance, but charging and trip planning become part of the ownership experience.
Who should buy it? Buyers who want Italian character, serious performance and grand-touring comfort without buying a two-seat supercar.
What will bug you? It is wide for Indian roads, ground clearance needs constant attention, rear-seat space is limited for tall adults and ownership costs are painfully high.

The GranTurismo is all about emotion. The V8's roar, the low-slung seating, and the hydraulic steering make every drive feel special. The rear seats are a huge plus, and my kids love sitting back there. On the downside, the fuel consumption is atrocious, and the tech feels ancient. I installed an aftermarket Carplay unit, which transformed the daily usability. A classic GT that's worth preserving.

The GranTurismo is a stunning car inside and out. The leather quality, the dash layout, and the seats are all top-notch. The engine has incredible character and the ZF gearbox is responsive. However, the car is long and wide, making it a challenge to park in tight spots. The trunk is practical for a GT, but the interior storage is non-existent. It's a true driver's car, but with some quirks.

I purchased my GranTurismo last year after years of dreaming about it. The V8 is a masterpiece, the ride is comfortable even on long drives, and the sound is intoxicating. The downside is the sticky interior plastics, which are a common issue, and the lack of modern connectivity. Also, be prepared for high running costs – it's not a car for the faint-hearted. But for a classic GT experience, it's hard to beat.

The GranTurismo is a classic GT that offers a fantastic driving experience. The gearbox is smooth and reliable, and the rear seats are surprisingly comfortable for adults. However, the fuel consumption is terrible, and the interior tech is outdated. It's not a daily driver for most people, but for weekend getaways, it's simply magnificent. Make sure to check for cam variator noise on startup before buying.

I've owned the GranTurismo for 3 years now, and it's been a love-hate relationship. The engine sound is addictive, and the Pininfarina design makes it a head-turner everywhere. But the maintenance is expensive – I've spent ₹3 lakh on brakes and suspension work. The sticky buttons are annoying, but there are specialists who can fix them. If you're buying one, budget for annual servicing and a Carplay retrofit.
