The Scorpio is Mahindra's original SUV — the one that started it all, and the one that refuses to die.
Who should buy it? Nostalgia buyers who grew up wanting a Scorpio and now have the money to buy one. Rural and semi-urban families who need a rugged, no-nonsense 7- or 9-seater that can handle bad roads without complaint. Fleet operators who want a durable workhorse that'll take a beating and keep going. Anyone who looks at a Creta and thinks "that's too soft for my village roads."
The ride quality is bouncy and tiring on highways. And the price — at nearly ₹18 lakh for the top-spec S11, you're paying a premium for nostalgia when the Scorpio N offers a significantly more modern package for not much more money. The Scorpio N is objectively the better car — better ride, better cabin, better safety, better everything. The Classic only makes sense if you're buying with your heart, not your head. And let's be honest, your heart doesn't care about CarPlay.
