The RX is the quintessential Lexus: quiet, comfortable, and built to last. The cabin is a sanctuary of leather and wood, with a 14-inch touchscreen that finally ditches the touchpad. The ride is plush, soaking up bumps with the kind of grace that makes German SUVs feel overly firm. The 500h variant offers genuine performance, hitting 100 km/h in around 6 seconds.

What will bug you? The price. At ₹1.33 crore for the 500h, you're paying a premium over the BMW X5 (₹95 lakh - ₹1.11 crore) and Mercedes-Benz GLE (₹99 lakh - ₹1.17 crore). The 350h feels underpowered for a car of this size, and the 500h's fuel efficiency takes a predictable hit. Also, the boot space is adequate but not class-leading — the Volvo XC90 offers more luggage room. And at this price, the interior, while lovely, doesn't quite match the sheer opulence of the GLE's cabin.
