The Kia Seltos remains one of the most complete midsize SUVs for Indian buyers, especially if features matter as much as practicality. The latest Seltos has grown larger, with a 2,690 mm wheelbase, 190 mm ground clearance and around 447 litres of boot space. The cabin feels premium too, with dual 12.3-inch displays, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and Level 2 ADAS on higher variants.
There are three engine choices: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol with 115 hp, a 1.5-litre diesel with 116 hp and 250 Nm, and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol producing 160 hp and 253 Nm. Automatic options include IVT, torque converter and 7-speed DCT depending on the engine. The turbo is the pick for performance, while the diesel makes more sense for high-mileage users. The 2026 Seltos has also earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, adding a strong safety point to its already impressive equipment list.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants a stylish, spacious and feature-loaded SUV that can handle both city traffic and highway trips.
What will bug you? Some variants are expensive, the turbo-DCT can make ownership costly and the ride can feel a little firm on rough roads.
