The Carnival is the luxury MPV for people who find the Innova Hycross too pedestrian and the Toyota Vellfire too expensive. At ₹63.91 lakh, it undercuts the Vellfire (₹1.22 crore) by nearly half, while offering a similar level of second-row indulgence. It's the only diesel-powered luxury MPV in India—a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel producing 193 bhp and 441 Nm of torque—which makes it the choice for buyers who don't want to explain to their driver where to find a charging station.
The second-row captain seats are heated, ventilated, and recline with deployable ottomans. Dual sunroofs, a 12-speaker Bose system, three-zone climate control, and eight airbags complete the package. It's a lounge on wheels, and the only competition comes from the MG M9 EV (₹69.99 lakh) and the Vellfire itself.
Who should buy it? Chauffeur-driven executives, large families who road-trip in serious comfort, and anyone who wants to arrive looking like they own a small business—because they probably do.
What will bug you? At 5,155 mm long and nearly 2,000 mm wide, parking this thing in a metro city is an exercise in advanced geometry. The diesel engine lets more noise into the cabin than a ₹64 lakh car should, and the size makes it impractical for daily city duties. Also, the Innova Hycross costs half as much and does 80% of the same job.

The third row is spacious but adults feel the knees-up posture on long trips.
Service costs are high. Parts for this flagship model aren't readily available.
The ride is firm at low speeds. You feel sharp potholes and bumps.
Ground clearance is too low for Indian roads. Scrapes on big speed breakers.
No petrol engine option is a letdown. Diesel-only limits buyer choice.
