The Clavis is essentially a heavily refreshed Carens that sits above the standard car in the lineup, featuring Kia's new design language with triangular LED headlights, 17-inch alloys, and a thoroughly modernised interior. Dual 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Level 2 ADAS—all the toys you'd expect from a car that starts at ₹11.23 lakh and goes up to ₹21.67 lakh.
Who should buy it? Families who want the practicality of an MPV but refuse to drive something that looks like a toaster. Buyers who want the premium experience without stepping up to the Carnival's price bracket.
What will bug you? The price premium over the standard Carens is significant, and you're essentially paying for a facelift with better screens. The non-turbo petrol doesn't get an automatic option, and the full ADAS suite is still locked to the top trims. Also, Kia now has three MPV-ish products—Carens, Clavis, and Carnival—and even they seem confused about which one you should buy.
