The Hyundai Verna is one of the few sedans that still manages to look exciting in an SUV-obsessed market. The 2026 Verna gets a sharp design, a spacious cabin and a 2,670 mm wheelbase, giving rear passengers plenty of legroom. The cabin also feels properly premium, with dual 10.25-inch displays and plenty of comfort features.
The real fun starts with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, producing 160 PS and 253 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. The regular 1.5-litre petrol makes 115 PS and comes with a manual or IVT, making more sense for relaxed city driving. The turbo Verna is quick, stable on highways and genuinely enjoyable to drive.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants a spacious, comfortable sedan with strong performance and lots of features.
What will bug you? The low-slung body needs care over badly designed speed breakers, the turbo-DCT costs more and rear-seat comfort comes at the expense of SUV-like practicality.
