The Hyundai Venue is a compact SUV that makes a lot of sense for city buyers. Its small footprint makes parking and narrow roads easy, while the upright design gives you a proper SUV-like driving position. The cabin feels modern and well finished, with plenty of features and comfortable front seats. It also has enough ground clearance for most everyday Indian roads.
The petrol engines are well suited to daily driving, while the turbo-petrol is the better choice if you want stronger performance. Automatic options make traffic less tiring, and the suspension handles typical city roads reasonably well. Rear-seat space is acceptable for two adults, but three can feel cramped on longer journeys. The boot is practical for a small family, although this is still a compact SUV at heart.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants a feature-rich SUV that is easy to drive, park and live with every day.
What will bug you? Rear-seat space is average, the smaller engine can feel strained with a full load, and highway comfort is not as impressive as larger SUVs.
