Expert Review

4.26/5
The Creta Electric is for the eco-conscious family buyer who isn't ready to compromise on space or practicality. It takes everything great about the regular Creta—the roomy cabin, the big boot, and the premium feel—and adds a silent, instant-response powertrain that makes city driving genuinely relaxing. The battery pack is neatly tucked away, so you don't lose much interior space. The electric motor delivers smooth, immediate torque that makes stop-and-go traffic effortless and gives you a surprising shove of pace off the line. Ride quality is actually improved over the ICE version, as the heavy battery plant lowers the centre of gravity, making it feel more planted on the highway. The regenerative braking is intuitive and easy to modulate with paddle shifters. Who should buy it? Urban families with access to home charging, tech enthusiasts, and company-car buyers looking to save on running costs. What will bug you? The real-world range drops noticeably on high-speed highway runs, public fast-charging infrastructure is still a gamble in many areas, and the significant price premium over the diesel Creta makes the financial math work only for high-mileage users.
