The Hyundai Alcazar is a family-focused SUV that tries to offer the comfort of a premium car with the practicality of three rows. It is based on the Creta, but the longer body gives it more cabin space and a more substantial road presence. The interior feels modern and well-equipped, making it easy to live with on daily drives and family trips.
The 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines offer enough performance for normal city and highway use. The automatic options make traffic less tiring, while the suspension does a decent job of handling broken Indian roads. The second row is comfortable, and the third row is usable for children or shorter adults, although it is not exactly a business-class lounge.
Who should buy it? Families who want a feature-rich SUV with three-row practicality and comfortable long-distance cruising.
What will bug you? The third row is tight for adults, the large body can be awkward in narrow streets, and fuel economy can drop when fully loaded.
