The Honda ZR-V is a premium crossover that sits somewhere between a traditional SUV and a sporty family car. In India, it comes as a fully imported model, which explains the nearly ₹48 lakh ex-showroom price. The design is sleek rather than boxy, while the cabin gets leatherette upholstery, a 9-inch touchscreen, 10.2-inch digital cluster, Bose audio and plenty of premium equipment.
The ZR-V gets a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol powertrain producing a combined 184 PS and 315 Nm, paired with an e-CVT and front-wheel drive. Honda claims 22.8 kmpl, and the 1,569 kg SUV can do 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. Its 2,655 mm wheelbase gives good cabin space, while 180 mm of ground clearance is reasonable for Indian roads.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants a premium, refined and efficient Honda SUV with strong performance and hybrid technology.
What will bug you? The CBU pricing is steep, ground clearance is only average for an SUV and the 380-litre boot isn't particularly generous.
