Expert Review

4.66/5
The Honda City remains one of the strongest arguments for buying a sedan in an SUV-obsessed market. The 2026 City gets a sharper design, a spacious cabin and a 2,600 mm wheelbase, while its 506-litre boot is genuinely useful for family trips. The low seating position, comfortable rear bench and mature ride quality make it particularly good for long-distance driving. The regular 1.5-litre petrol makes 121 PS and 145 Nm, with a 6-speed manual or CVT. For buyers chasing fuel economy, the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid e produces a combined 126 PS and 253 Nm, with a claimed 27.26 kmpl. The City is smooth, refined and easy to drive, although its 165 mm ground clearance means tall speed breakers still deserve some respect. Who should buy it? Someone who wants a comfortable, spacious sedan with excellent highway manners and the option of strong-hybrid efficiency. What will bug you? Low-ish ground clearance, limited rear-seat width for three adults and a cabin that no longer feels as feature-rich as some newer rivals.

The 360-degree camera is a lifesaver in tight parking spots.
