The electric powertrain delivers instant acceleration, while the low centre of gravity gives the Seal a surprisingly sporty character. The cabin is quiet and well-equipped, and the long driving range makes it suitable for both city use and planned highway trips.
What will bug you? The low ground clearance can be a headache on Indian speed breakers, especially with passengers onboard. Charging infrastructure still needs planning on long trips, and BYD's smaller service network may worry buyers outside major cities. The rear seat is comfortable, but the sloping roof limits headroom for taller passengers.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants a fast, stylish and well-equipped EV with good range and does not care too much about badge value.
