The BYD eMax 7 is one of the few electric MPVs in India that focuses on family practicality rather than trying to look sporty. It offers plenty of space, a comfortable cabin and the smooth driving experience you expect from an EV.
The electric powertrain delivers instant torque, making city driving effortless. The spacious cabin and three-row layout are its biggest strengths, especially for large families. The quiet cabin also makes it a good choice for long highway journeys.
What will bug you? Its MPV shape will not appeal to everyone, and the driving experience is more relaxed than exciting. Charging still needs planning on longer trips, especially outside major cities. BYD's smaller service network compared with Maruti or Toyota may also make some buyers nervous.
Who should buy it? Large families looking for a comfortable, spacious electric MPV with low day-to-day running costs.

It's a practical family vehicle but the suspension noise started after 8k kms. Service center took time to fix it.
Overall good but the lack of a spare tyre is a concern. Also, the tyre noise is noticeable on highways.
Decent car but the after-sales support is not widespread. I had to drive 50 km for a service center.
I have faced some issues with the touchscreen responsiveness. Dealer says it's a known glitch.
The eMax 7 is value for money but the ride quality on broken roads is a bit bumpy.
