Expert Review

4.16/5
The BMW M2 is the compact performance car for buyers who want the full BMW M experience without stepping into supercar money. It is small, powerful and properly entertaining, with a rear-wheel-drive setup that keeps the driver involved. Its turbocharged straight-six engine delivers serious performance, while the sharp steering and agile chassis make it excellent on open roads. The compact size also makes it easier to enjoy on India's twisty highways than a larger M car. Who should buy it? Someone who values driving fun and wants a proper performance car that can still be used regularly. What will bug you? Firm ride, low ground clearance, limited rear space and high running costs. If the regular 3 Series feels too sensible, the M2 is the one that brings the mischief back.

Excellent performance and aggressive styling. I enjoy every weekend drive with it. Only complaint is the stiff ride and limited practicality for family use.

M2 gives a very engaging driving experience. The steering, power delivery and chassis work beautifully together. It feels like a proper performance machine.

Great fun but running costs are high. Tyres, fuel and servicing will definitely hurt the wallet. For an enthusiast, however, the driving experience is worth considering.

Not the most practical BMW, but that was never the reason I bought it. Performance is the main attraction. Build quality and cabin feel are excellent.

Fantastic straight six engine and very quick gearbox. The car feels planted at high speeds. I especially like the rear wheel drive character.
