The Audi Q8 is Audi's answer to buyers who want the space and presence of a luxury SUV but prefer a sportier, more stylish design. In India, it works well as a premium family SUV with plenty of road presence.
The 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine offers effortless performance, while quattro all-wheel drive gives it excellent grip on highways. The cabin is quiet, comfortable and well-built, and the coupe-inspired styling makes it look more distinctive than the Q7.
What will bug you? The sloping roof reduces some rear headroom and boot practicality. Its large size can be frustrating in crowded cities, while fuel economy and maintenance costs are not exactly wallet-friendly. You also need to be careful around poorly designed speed breakers.
