The Aston Martin Vantage is the more aggressive sibling in the Aston Martin family. It is smaller, faster and more driver-focused than the DB12, making it a better choice if you actually enjoy driving rather than being driven.
In India, however, low ground clearance is going to annoy you. Speed breakers become negotiation points, and narrow roads can make its width uncomfortable. Running costs are high too, especially tyres, fuel and servicing.
Who should buy it? Someone who wants a fast, luxurious sports car that feels more exclusive than the usual Ferrari or Porsche.
What will bug you? Ground clearance, expensive ownership and limited practicality.
If the DB12 is the gentleman, the Vantage is the gentleman who occasionally loses his temper.
