Expert Review

4.38/5
The Range Rover Sport is the more athletic sibling of the Range Rover, mixing luxury, comfort and sharper driving dynamics. It still has the premium cabin, commanding driving position and strong road presence you expect, but its styling and handling feel more aggressive. It is a better choice for someone who actually enjoys driving rather than always sitting in the rear seat. The turbo-petrol and diesel engines deliver strong performance, while the automatic gearbox keeps things smooth. The air suspension offers an excellent balance between comfort and control, and the four-wheel-drive system gives it serious off-road ability. Rear-seat space is good, although the focus is more on driving than limousine-like comfort. The large body and wide tyres can make narrow roads, tight parking areas and rough speed breakers stressful. Who should buy it? Someone who wants Range Rover luxury but prefers sharper handling and a more sporty character. What will bug you? The huge dimensions, expensive maintenance, high fuel bills, costly tyres and low-profile wheels can make ownership painful.
