Priced from ₹63.37 lakh (ex-showroom), on-road figures land anywhere between ₹73 lakh and ₹85 lakh depending on your city and how creative the RTO gets. That's roughly ₹60 lakh cheaper than the Discovery — which tells you exactly how much you're compromising.
Who should buy it? Families who absolutely need seven seats and the Land Rover badge. Anyone who finds the Volvo XC60 too sensible and the BMW X3 too common. Buyers who believe "premium" means "expensive to maintain."
What will bug you? The reliability — the Discovery Sport scored just 24.1/100 on the Warrantywise Reliability Index. Owners report electrical glitches, AC failures, oil dilution issues, and battery replacements within months. The 6.9 kmpl fuel economy will make you weep. The diesel feels laggy in city traffic, and the PHEV variant isn't even available in India.
