The Maruti Suzuki Swift ZXi+ costs about ₹82,000 more than the ZXi manual, but most of that extra money goes towards comfort, infotainment and premium convenience features rather than essential equipment. The ZXi already gets LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, wireless charging, rear wiper and washer, auto headlamps and a 60:40 split rear seat. The ZXi+ adds features such as a larger 22.86 cm touchscreen, cruise control, a rear parking camera, premium steering wheel and better audio hardware
At the current Maruti Suzuki website pricing, the ZXi MT is listed at ₹7.619 lakh and the ZXi+ MT at ₹8.439 lakh, a difference of ₹82,000 ex-showroom.
The question, therefore, is simple: does the ZXi+ give you ₹82,000 worth of extra value?

The rear camera is probably the biggest upgrade
If there is one ZXi+ feature that can make a real difference every day, it is the wide-angle rear parking camera.

The ZXi already gets reverse parking sensors, so you are not completely blind while reversing. But a camera makes tight parking, reversing into narrow spaces and judging obstacles much easier. The ZXi+ gets this camera, while the ZXi does not.
Utility: 5/5
If you regularly park in crowded markets, apartment basements or tight city spaces, this feature has genuine value.
The larger touchscreen is useful, but not ₹82,000 useful
The ZXi already gets a 17.78 cm SmartPlay Pro touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The ZXi+ moves to a larger 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+ system.
The bigger display looks better and makes maps and media easier to see. But remember what you are paying for.
You are not moving from a basic infotainment system to a modern touchscreen. The ZXi already has that.
You are paying for a larger and more premium version.
Utility: 4/5
Good feature, but not a strong financial reason by itself to upgrade.
Cruise control: useful for highway users
Cruise control is another meaningful ZXi+ addition.

If you frequently travel on expressways and open highways, it can reduce the effort of holding the accelerator for long periods.
For someone who spends most of the week driving through city traffic, however, it will rarely get used.
Utility: 4/5 for highway users, 2/5 for city-only users.
What about the premium interior and audio upgrades?
The ZXi+ gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel, coloured multi-information display, Surround Sense and additional tweeters.
These features make the Swift feel more expensive. That matters if you plan to keep the car for several years and spend a lot of time inside it.
But from a financial point of view, these are nice-to-have features rather than must-have features.
The ZXi already gives you most of the important equipment.
So, who should buy the ZXi+?
The ZXi is the better financial choice for most buyers.
Buy the ZXi if you want the Swift to have the important everyday features without spending unnecessarily. It already has LED lighting, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, wireless charging, rear wiper and washer, auto headlamps and other useful equipment.
Choose the ZXi+ if you specifically want the rear camera, larger infotainment screen and cruise control, or if you simply want the most fully equipped Swift and are comfortable paying ₹82,000 more.

Our rating: ZXi 4.8/5, ZXi+ 4.3/5 for value.
The ZXi+ is the better-equipped Swift. The ZXi is the smarter buy. Spending another ₹82,000 makes sense when you specifically want the camera, bigger screen and cruise control. If those features are not important to you, keep the ₹82,000 in your bank account. Your Swift will still feel properly equipped.
