New Brezza 2026 Buying Guide: Which Variant Should You Buy?

The best Maruti Suzuki Brezza 2026 variant for most buyers is the ZXi Turbo MT. It combines the new 1.0-litre Turbo petrol engine, 170 Nm of torque and a strong feature list at around ₹9.85 lakh ex-showroom. The VXi Turbo is the better choice for buyers on a tighter budget, while the 1.5-litre petrol AT makes more sense if you want an automatic. For high-mileage city driving, the CNG variants can offer the lowest running cost. The ZXi+ is the fully loaded option, but its extra features come with diminishing value for money.

The 2026 Brezza has therefore become a little harder to choose, but also easier to recommend. Maruti Suzuki now offers three powertrain options, several trims and a wider spread of features. The right variant depends less on the badge and more on how you plan to use the SUV.

Brezza 2026 engine options

The biggest change is the introduction of the 1.0-litre Turbo Boosterjet engine.

1.5L CNG

The Turbo produces more torque than the 1.5-litre petrol despite having a much smaller engine.

That matters in everyday driving.

You will notice the extra torque during quick overtakes, merging into traffic and climbing roads with passengers on board.

The 1.5-litre petrol, however, remains the more relaxed choice and is the only option if you want an automatic transmission.

Why the 1.0L Turbo is financially interesting

The Turbo's biggest advantage is not only its 170 Nm torque.

It is also its engine size.

The 998 cc petrol engine falls into the lower GST category applicable to smaller cars, while the 1.5-litre petrol sits in the higher tax bracket.

This creates a sizeable price gap between the two powertrains.

Depending on the variant, the Turbo can be around ₹65,000 to ₹90,000 cheaper than the comparable 1.5-litre petrol version.

So you are potentially paying less while getting more torque.

There is one important compromise.

The Turbo is available with a manual gearbox only.

If you want an automatic Brezza, you have to choose the 1.5-litre petrol.

Brezza LXi Turbo: cheapest way into the Turbo

The LXi Turbo is aimed at buyers who care more about the engine and basic safety than premium equipment.

At around ₹7.4 lakh ex-showroom, it gives you the 1.0-litre Turbo along with six airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX.

The feature list is basic, but the core mechanical package is attractive.

This is the variant for someone who thinks, "I need a good engine and safety. I can live without the fancy stuff."

Value rating: 8/10

Brezza VXi Turbo: the sensible budget upgrade

The VXi is where the Brezza starts becoming much easier to live with every day.

It adds features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control and alloy wheels on the Turbo.

For many buyers, this is enough equipment.

You avoid paying for expensive premium features while still getting the modern features you expect in a car at this price.

Value rating: 8.5/10

Brezza ZXi Turbo: best variant to buy

The ZXi Turbo is the sweet spot of the 2026 Brezza range.

At around ₹9.85 lakh ex-showroom, it gives you the 1.0-litre Turbo with 170 Nm of torque and a much richer equipment list.

It gets features such as:

  • Electric sunroof

  • LED projector headlamps

  • LED DRLs

  • Push-button start

  • Wireless charging

  • Ambient lighting

  • Roof rails

  • 60:40 split rear seats

  • Cruise control

  • Better interior finishes

This is the point where the Brezza feels sufficiently premium without becoming unnecessarily expensive.

For most family buyers, there is little reason to go higher unless they specifically want the ZXi+ equipment.

Value rating: 9.5/10

Brezza ZXi+ Turbo: should you spend more?

The ZXi+ Turbo is for buyers who want the full feature list.

It adds:

  • 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X infotainment

  • Alexa integration

  • ARKAMYS premium audio

  • Ventilated front seats

  • 64-colour ambient lighting

  • 360-degree camera

  • Head-up display

  • Leatherette upholstery

  • Additional Suzuki Connect features

  • More premium mirror functions

It looks impressive on a feature sheet.

The problem is value.

At roughly ₹11.15 lakh ex-showroom, it costs around ₹1.30 lakh more than the ZXi Turbo.

You get more equipment, but most buyers will not use those features every day.

Value rating: 8.8/10

Which Brezza variant is best for city driving?

For normal urban use, the ZXi Turbo is the strongest recommendation.

Its 170 Nm torque should make stop-and-go traffic and quick overtakes easier, while its feature list is good enough for family use.

If you spend hours in traffic and strongly prefer two-pedal driving, choose the 1.5-litre AT instead.

If your daily commute is long, CNG deserves a closer look.

A person driving 50 km every day has a very different financial calculation from someone driving 15 km.

That is why there is no single Brezza variant that is perfect for everyone.

Who should buy the 1.5L petrol?

Choose the 1.5-litre petrol if you:

  • Want an automatic

  • Prefer a four-cylinder engine

  • Want smoother power delivery

  • Regularly drive on highways

  • Prefer refinement over the Turbo's stronger torque

The ZXi 1.5 AT is particularly attractive for buyers who want convenience without going all the way to the expensive ZXi+.
