For me, the biggest problem is the price. It is a nice SUV, but once you cross ₹40 lakh, buyers have many options. The Sorento feels polished and comfortable, but it does not have the size of the Gloster or the practicality of the Innova to justify the premium for everyone.

Aaditya Kurup

The Sorento is comfortable but the running costs could become a concern once the warranty period is over. There is a lot of electronics and the hybrid system is quite complex. I would think twice before keeping it for 10 years.

Rajiv Kaimal

It feels smooth in city traffic and the transition between electric and petrol power is hardly noticeable. The cabin insulation is also impressive. It feels like a much more expensive SUV from inside.

Bhavani Poduval

The car is very refined, but some of the ADAS features become irritating on Indian roads. Lane warnings and corrections can feel too aggressive when road markings disappear. Good technology, but it needs careful calibration for our roads.

Jaikumar Joseph

Comfortable SUV with good technology, but the size and weight are noticeable in city traffic. Parking in tight spaces takes some effort. The hybrid is smooth, but I expected better real-world efficiency during fast highway driving.

Vasant Pillai

I like almost everything about the car except the piano-black interior. It looks nice when clean but gets fingerprints and dust very quickly. The third row also needs some compromise, especially when carrying adults.

Antariksh Vallathol

The Sorento feels premium, but it is also quite expensive. At this price I would compare it very carefully with the Innova Hycross and Gloster. The equipment list is strong, but value for money is not its biggest strength.

Jafar Zaman

Good SUV but not perfect. The highway ride is excellent, while sharp bumps at low speeds can be felt inside the cabin.

Kulesh Mappillai

Plenty of features and excellent seats. The 12.3-inch displays look great and the Bose system is genuinely good. I just wish Kia had made the third row more spacious because calling it a seven-seater feels slightly optimistic for adults.

Vismay Marar

The Sorento is a good choice if you want comfort rather than road presence. The Gloster looks much bigger and more imposing, but the Sorento feels easier to drive and more polished inside. Pricing is the main concern.

Kia Sorneto FAQs

The Kia Sorento competes directly in the full-size/midsize 3-row D-SUV segment. Its chief market rivals include the Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster.

Yes, the Kia Sorento is noticeably larger than both models. Measuring 4,815 mm in length and built on a wide 2,815 mm wheelbase, the Kia Sorento sits a segment above the Kia Seltos and Kia Carens, offering true 3-row midsize proportions.

Yes, selected variants of the Kia Sorento offer an advanced All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system with multi-terrain modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand), while lower and mid-trims come in a standard Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) setup.

With all three seating rows active, the Kia Sorento provides 179 liters of cargo capacity. Folding down the 3rd-row seats expands the luggage area to a massive 813 liters.

Globally, the Kia Sorento holds a 5-star safety rating from crash test agencies like Euro NCAP and Australia NCAP. It features up to 10 airbags, structural ultra-high-strength steel, and a complete suite of Level 2 ADAS active safety technologies.
