It’s not for tight city lanes or low cost-of-ownership mindset.

This positions it among the top luxury SUVs, often compared with the Range Rover Sport and BMW X5, but with sharper German driving DNA. Buyers at this price point are not worried about “kitna deti hai” but more about “how fast and how stylish can I get there”.

The Porsche Cayenne delivers a certified 10.8 kmpl mileage, though in everyday city traffic it drops to about 6–7 kmpl. On open highways you might squeeze closer to 10 kmpl, provided you don’t keep flooring it. Think of it like a luxury treadmill – you’ll spend a lot of fuel but look good while running it.

With petrol at ₹102/litre, the Cayenne’s running cost works out to ₹9.44 per km at 10.8 kmpl. In city use, where mileage falls to 7 kmpl, cost jumps to ₹14–15/km. So yes, it burns a hole in your wallet, but if you’re shopping in the ₹2 crore club, chances are you don’t track per-km costs anyway.

The Cayenne comes with a 75-litre fuel tank, with some performance variants offering up to 90 litres. On a full tank at ARAI mileage, you can expect 810–820 km of range. Realistically, in city conditions, 500–600 km is more likely before you’re hunting for a fuel station.

The Porsche Cayenne measures 4.918 m long, 1.983 m wide, and 1.696 m tall (16.1 × 6.5 × 5.5 ft), with a ground clearance of 190–215 mm depending on suspension setup. It’s big enough to make you king of the road, but also big enough to make mall parking attendants sweat.

The Cayenne offers 645 litres of boot space, which easily fits 4–5 large suitcases. Perfect for airport runs, family road trips, or even a luxury drive down to Goa. Fold the rear seats and you could even fit a bicycle, though let’s be honest, Porsche owners don’t pedal.
