Hyundai Alcazar Vs Force Gurkha 5 Door FAQs

The Hyundai Alcazar is priced between ₹14.99 lakh and ₹21.74 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The facelift version arrived in September 2024, but the original Alcazar was first launched in June 2021, as Hyundai’s answer to customers who loved the Creta but wanted three rows of seats.

Hyundai Alcazar measures 4.560 m in length (14.96 ft), 1.800 m in width (5.90 ft), and 1.710 m in height (5.61 ft). It is longer and slightly taller than the Hyundai Creta, which makes space for the extra third row. Boot space is 180 litres with all three rows up, enough for a couple of cabin bags, and expands massively when you fold the third row.

Hyundai Alcazar comes with a 40-litre fuel tank. Depending on the engine you pick (petrol or diesel), the real-world mileage ranges between 14 and 20 kmpl, giving you a tank range of around 560 to 700 km.

The Alcazar is built for buyers who need more than just a 5-seater SUV. If you’re a family that travels often with grandparents, kids, or extra relatives, the Alcazar makes sense. The third row isn’t business-class luxury, but for occasional use, it’s perfect. It also appeals to urban professionals who want an SUV that’s a bit more “complete” than the Creta without jumping into the much pricier Toyota Fortuner or MG Gloster category.

The Hyundai Alcazar is essentially the Creta’s bigger brother. Both share the same design DNA and features, but Alcazar is longer by about 200 mm, has a longer wheelbase, and can seat six or seven passengers. The Creta is better suited for nuclear families or city dwellers who don’t need the extra seats. The Alcazar, meanwhile, is more family-focused, practical for highway runs, and comes across as a lifestyle SUV.

With all three rows up, the Alcazar’s 180 litres of boot space can handle two cabin trolleys or one big suitcase. Fold the last row, and the space easily expands for a family’s week-long luggage. If you’re planning road trips with five people, fold the third row and enjoy SUV practicality plus massive cargo capacity.

The Creta has been a bestseller, but many buyers were cross-shopping with MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Kia Carens for the extra row of seats. Hyundai introduced the Alcazar to keep customers in its family rather than lose them to rivals. It is positioned for those who want more space, a premium cabin, and extra versatility while still keeping prices far below full-size SUVs.

The Force Gurkha 5-Door starts at about ₹18 lakh ex-showroom. On-road in Delhi it can cost around ₹21.4 lakh depending on insurance, RTO, etc.

Because if you want a vehicle that laughs at bad roads, floods, mud, and steep inclines, this is the one. With standard 4x4, low-range transfer case, manually locking differentials, and a 2.6L diesel that gives good torque low in the revs, Gurkha 5-Door is built for people who don’t want excuses. It’s not about luxury, it's about capability and presence.

It packs a 2.596 cc FM 2.6 CR CD diesel engine, producing ~138 bhp at 3,200 rpm and 320 Nm torque between ~1,400-2,600 rpm. Transmission is a 5-speed manual, and it comes with 4WD as standard.

Length is ~4,390 mm, width ~1,865 mm, height ~2,095 mm; wheelbase is ~2,825 mm. Ground clearance (unladen) is ~233 mm.

Seating is for 7 people in three rows. The second row is a bench seat, third row with captain seats in some trims. Boot space isn’t officially huge, but it’s roomy enough to carry essential luggage for long road trips. With its big dimensions and high roof, tall passengers will not feel squeezed.

ARAI claimed / published numbers are around 9.5 kmpl in mixed-conditions. In city or offroad it could drop. If you mostly use highways, expect somewhat better.

Interiors aren’t luxury sedan level, but they deliver what they need: bench seats in second row, captain seats in third in certain trims; a 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto; power windows; roof-mounted rear AC vents; tilt & telescopic steering. Rugged, practical, usable.

Lockable front and rear differentials, standard 4x4 with low-range transfer case, snorkel, strong ground clearance (~233 mm), water wading capability, large all-terrain tyres (255/65 R18). It’s built to get dirty and come out smiling.

Force Motors offers 3 years / 1.5 lakh km warranty, along with 4 free services and roadside assistance (for at least 1 year). For an SUV this rugged, those freebies help ease ownership worries.
