MG Windsor price hike: is it the only one?

Long story shot, No!

The automotive industry is experiencing a wave of price hikes across various brands, driven by rising input costs and increased demand. Toyota recently revised the prices of its popular Innova Hycross, with increases ranging from ₹17,000 to ₹36,000, depending on the variant. The updated price range now stands between ₹19.94 lakh and ₹31.34 lakh (ex-showroom). Similarly, Hyundai has announced a price increase of up to ₹25,000 across all models starting January 2025. Maruti Suzuki plans to raise prices by up to 4%, while Tata Motors will implement a 3% hike on its passenger vehicles, including EVs.

The MG Windsor has outpaced the Tata Nexon EV in sales due to several key factors that highlight its superior design and performance. Unlike the Nexon EV, which is based on an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) platform, the MG Windsor is built on a dedicated BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) architecture. This purpose-built design optimizes weight distribution, enhances space utilization, and improves battery efficiency.

The Windsor offers a robust driving range of over 300 kilometers, surpassing the Nexon EV’s Medium Range (MR) variant, which delivers approximately 275 kilometers. This range advantage, coupled with better driving dynamics and tailored electric performance, has made the Windsor a more attractive option for consumers.

MG has already established trust with Windsor and seems like People will have no option other than paying 50K more than what they were supposed to pay before 31st december!
