Tesla India Entry: Showrooms, India Presence and Jobs!
Published On 10/3/2025, 4:53:53 pm Author Mohit TanejaTesla, the poster child of electric vehicles (EVs), has finally confirmed its entry into the Indian market. And guess what? They’re not just dipping their toes in the water—they’re diving in headfirst with not one, but two swanky showrooms in prime locations.

If you thought Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) couldn’t get any fancier, think again. Tesla has chosen Maker Maxity, one of the most premium commercial towers in BKC, to set up its first Indian showroom. And the numbers? They’re as jaw-dropping as a Tesla Ludicrous Mode acceleration.
Tesla is leasing a whopping 3000 sq ft space, shelling out a cool Rs 35 lakh per month in rent. Yes, you read that right. That’s the kind of money that could buy you a luxury sedan every year.
But wait, there’s more! Tesla isn’t stopping at Mumbai. They’ve also zeroed in on Delhi’s Aerocity, a high-flying area near the Indira Gandhi International Airport. This second showroom will span 4000 sq ft, with a monthly rent of around Rs 25 lakh.
Aerocity is already a hub for luxury and convenience, and Tesla’s presence will only add to its allure.
What’s in Store for Indian EV Enthusiasts?
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: Which Tesla model will make its way to India first? While the brand has been tight-lipped about their plans, industry insiders speculate that the Tesla Model Y or Model 3 could be the frontrunners. Both models are considered entry-level (by Tesla’s standards, of course) and are likely to be priced around Rs 35 lakh.
If you’ve ever dreamed of working for a company that’s changing the world, now’s your chance. Tesla has already started posting job openings for their Indian showrooms. From sales to service, there’s a role for every EV enthusiast. So, if you’ve got the drive (pun intended), this could be your ticket to joining the Tesla family.
